چکیده

Egypt is characterized by many deserts associated with cities. The desert raven considered an ancient one of the most abundant birds in Egyptian and susceptible to a wide range ectoparasites. therefore, present study was identify ectoparasites that infect brown-necked Corvus ruficollis Wadi Dara, Eastern Desert, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. During two years from 2020 2022, several parasites were collected raven. Sixteen live ravens nine nests governorate investigated. thirteen lice species belonging suborders, four dipteran families, ten mite also tick families. Generally, are primary cause dangerous effects for domestic migratory bird species, presence migration route eastern increases chance transmission between different same area.

Pan-African granite emplacement mechanisms in the Eastern Desert, Egypt

The late Pan-African Fawakhir, Urn Had and Urn Effein Granite Plutons in the Egyptian Central Eastern Desert are small, elongate to circular bodies of pink monzogranite and syenogranite, and grey monzodiorite. Structural investigation of the intrusive contacts of these plutons reveals marginal sub-horizontal intrusive sheets as magma injection along preexisting flat-lying structures including m...

Abu Hamamid Neoproterozoic Alaskan-type complex, south Eastern Desert, Egypt

Abu Hamamid (AH) Neoproterozoic (Sm/Nd model age of 770 ± 20 Ma) mafic–ultramafic intrusion lies along a NE–SW fracture zone in the Shadli Metavolcanic Belt, south Eastern Desert, Egypt. AH intrusion is concentrically zoned with cumulate clinopyroxenebearing dunite core mantled by olivine clinopyroxenite, hornblende clinopyroxenite and hornblende gabbroic rim. The observed crystallization seque...

Zr-Y-Nb-REE mineralization associated with microgranite and basic dykes at EL Sela shear zone, South Eastern Desert, Egypt

El Sela shear zone occurs in the younger granite rock of Gabal El Sela area, south Eastern Desert, Egypt near the Sudan Frontier. It comprises lines-arranged intrusions trending ENE-WSW and extend for about 1.5 km in length and reach up to 40 meters in width. These lines-arranged intrusions include multi-phase quartz veins, altered microgranite and altered basic dykes. These dykes hosting or ac...

As the raven flies: using genetic data to infer the history of invasive common raven (Corvus corax) populations in the Mojave Desert.

Common raven (Corvus corax) populations in Mojave Desert regions of southern California and Nevada have increased dramatically over the past five decades. This growth has been attributed to increased human development in the region, as ravens have a commensal relationship with humans and feed extensively at landfills and on road-killed wildlife. Ravens, as a partially subsidized predator, also ...

Geochemical constraints on the tectonomagmatic evolution of the late Precambrian Fawakhir ophiolite, Central Eastern Desert, Egypt

-The Fawakhir ophiolitic sequence is composed mainly of serpentinites, metagabbros, boninitic metagabbros and metavolcanics. The serpentinites have geochemical features similar to those of depleted-mantle peridotites. Major and trace element characteristics show that the ophiolitic metagabbro and metavolcanic rocks are of tholeiitic to calc-alkaline affinity. REE abundances in the metagabbros a...
